Holistic Heaven

I was made redundant from a Motor Insurance role in oct 2016, I wanted a change and myHusband offered to pay for a course in massage as I had always wanted to do something like that , I elected to do the Diploma in Holistic Therapies as this gave me more than one discipline to offer when i qualified. I suffer with Fibromyalgia and I will admit after the first few weeks I did question my logic as I hurt more and was so tired, but as the course progressed and I got better at where and what I should do, Sam the Tutor devised ways for me to tackle the massage so it didn’t cause me to much pain I began to feel much much better and became much more resilient- I passed in July with Distinction Indian Head was a Merit but I loved everything, I hadn’t thought I’d be able to do this and I love offering the treatments and seeing others benefit from receiving the. I loved it so much I have now added Reflexology to my skill set.

Jules Maxfield Reflexology

I first became interested in Holistic Therapies whilst travelling in Asia and living in Hong Kong during the 1990’s.

On returning to the UK, I qualified as a Reflexologist in 1995 with a Level 3 Diploma.   I am a fully registered member of the Association of Reflexologists.

I work from my personal treatment room in Howe Street, near Chelmsford in Essex, but also offer a mobile service for those clients wishing to have treatments in the comfort of their own home.   Some clients prefer this as they can continue to relax and let the healing continue rather than driving home.

I also offer Indian Head Massage as an additional treatment

Penelope Morrison Complementary Therapies

Following taking voluntary redundancy from a career I had for 28 years, I looked for something new. I attended an information evening at Phoenix in 2009 and signed up for a reflexology course immediately. I qualified in 2010 and have not looked back. I have gone on to build a successful complementary therapy business, providing mobile complementary therapy treatments and workshops in your home or workplace, or at treatment rooms at 5StarPampering in Brentwood and TheNestingPlace in Chelmsford.

JP Beauty

I began my training at phoenix in 2006 , at the time I was working full time as a secondary science teacher and Head of year. I started doing my L2 City and Guilds Beauty Therapy qualification as a bit of a hobby. I soon realised I had a real passion for the industry and thoroughly enjoyed working as a therapist at home. I then had my two boys and dropped down the number of days I was teaching in school and picked up my beauty at home more. I then returned to Phoenix to under take City and Guilds L3 qualifications in Reflexology, Massage and Indian Head Massage as well as diplomas in Hopi ear candles, Crystal Healing, Spray Tanning and eyelash extensions. As much as I loved being at home I missed the company and the sense of being part of a team so I became employed as a salon manager in Dunmow. I am now also on the education team at phoenix and am currently teaching Aroma massage. I now have the best of everything, working from home, Teaching and working in salon. Making the change over to beauty is by far one of the best things I have done. Its a career I thoroughly enjoy, am passionate about and works well around my family. The enthusiasm, support and encouragement from all of the staff at phoenix have defiantly made that transition easier and has been partly responsible for my continued drive to learn new things and explore new avenues and treatments within the industry.
