WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A REGULATED QUALIFICATION AND AN ACCREDITED QUALIFICATION?
The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England for awarding bodies such as City & Guilds, BTEC & VTCT
Awarding bodies create both NVQ & VRQ qualifications
Accredited qualifications have been approved by a membership body for insurance purposes.
WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE PHOENIX?

We celebrate the more mature learner understanding the constraints of juggling a family with working life.
WHAT TYPE OF COURSES DO YOU OFFER?
We offer 2 types of courses; Regulated qualification & postgraduate accredited training. We do not offer one day accredited courses where a regulated qualification exists. We believe that accredited training just will not suffice in this competitive and increasingly demanding industry. You will be taught by specialist educators for beauty, holistic and nail technology and work with the most sophisticated techniques and products helping you to become the best they can be. When you enrol at Phoenix, you can remain a student until you qualify and are encouraged to continue to use all the support available.

The cost of each course does not include certification fees. This is because there is a choice of how you can achieve the certification and different routes have different financial implications.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I FINISH THE COURSE?
The qualifications and level of training you receive will prepare you for both employment and to set up a business. The support doesn’t stop, you are part of the Phoenix Therapist family and can access any guidance and support from our team to help you prepare for a trade test or set up a business.
HOW DO I PAY AND IS THERE FUNDING AVAILABLE?
There are Advanced learner loans for level 3 full Diploma courses, however we have chosen not to administer these loans. We do however offer payment plan.
DO I NEED QUALIFICATIONS TO TAKE THESE COURSES?
The regulated qualifications include all the knowledge you need so we do not expect that you have any prior knowledge or skills, however there are a few courses that build upon existing training: Electrotherapy facial, male skincare and make up requires a facial qualification & Aromatherapy massage requires a massage qualification. All post graduate accredited qualification workshops require a qualification first, with the exception of crystal healing therapy & Reiki.
HOW MUCH STUDY IS REQUIRED AND CAN YOU HELP WITH SPECIAL NEEDS?
The amount of time you need to spend on your studies does depend on the type of learner you are and your educational background, however all our educators are fully qualified teachers and are able to guide and support you through almost any situation.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A CLASS?
We do not work so quickly that we are unable to refresh and recap learning missed. Notes and information will be emailed after the class and we find that the groups bond well together and support each other. Where appropriate, we will deliver additional learning through other group sessions and you can negotiate additional one-to-one support. We have a life-long learning policy that we will continue to support you till you have reached your goals.
HOW DO I BOOK A COURSE?
You can book postgraduate accredited workshops directly on the website through Paypal or by calling to pay over the phone.
Bookings for regulated qualification courses need an informal interview prior to booking to ensure that the course is suitable and to agree an individual learning plan.
WHAT EQUIPMENT AND PRODUCTS DO I NEED TO BUY?
All products and equipment required will be shown on the profile page for each course.
