Brought to the west in the 1970s by Narendra Mehta and originally known as Champissage. It's performed to the upper back, arms, neck, head & face.

Basis of treatment

Help increase joint mobility and flexibility in the neck and shoulders, by improving the blood circulation and lymphatic flow. Can be performed with oils or over clothes.

Module 1

Principles & practices of beauty therapy

Start by learning about the industry, your roles and responsibilities as a professional practitioner. You will learn about the  key aspects of good clinical practice as well as the important health & safety requirements

Module 2

Advanced anatomy & physiology for therapists

This is an E-learning course made up of videos, audio files, quizzes and activities to complete. You will have open access to all the materials so can study at your own pace under the support of your educator through zoom revision lessons and WhatsApp community support

Module 3


You will have open access to the Indian head massage online course which follows a tried and tested format to guide you through the knowledge & skills with easy to follow step by step videos.

Zoom lessons

6 weekly zoom training session which is recorded into the private Facebook group so you can recap whenever needed.  You will discuss case studies, carry out posture analysis and you’re following along with Michelle.

Skills development practical

2 days practical skills development training is all that’s needed to provide you with the skills necessary to provide a professional massage treatment including the consultation, posture analysis & treatment planning aspect of providing treatments to your clients

Module 4

Reflextive practice

Now you have completed your skills and knowledge assessments to gain your professional accreditation for insurance, you can now focus on putting it all together to develop your professional reflective practice. You now have the choice to remain where you are and start building a business or to develop your skills further to gain the City & Guilds regulated qualification.

No time limits

You don’t have to make a decision straight away, you will always be part of the Phoenix Therapist group and we’re here to guide and support you throughout your career.

Module 5

Having a qualification is just the first step to creating the career and business you deserve; you now need to learn the skills to market and promote yourself, create a band, identify your ideal client and what problem you will solve for them.

Business practice for Complementary Therapies

This module is delivered through an online portal, where you will have open access to all your learning material. You will be in a support group where you will have a study buddy and access to educators for constant support.  In addition, there are group zoom sessions to help progress you through learning and assignments.
