Individual lash extensions
Building on your lash tinting qualification, this is possibly the best investment you’ll ever make. Sparse, stubby lashes are transformed as synthetic eyelashes are attached to the client’s own natural lashes using permanent glue, which means that the extensions last the lifetime of the client’s natural lash. Lashes extend existing eyelashes in both length and thickness to give a fantastic new look. They will enhance the appearance beyond expectations because eyes will look bigger, wider and brighter.
This is a 2-day course and both days must be completed.
Day 1 includes:
Contra-indications, consultation, patch testing, Hygiene and safety, insurance, industry protocols, Product knowledge, Theory, demo & practical on models & each other plus removal technique, aftercare & maintenance
Day 2 includes:
Maintenance treatments, problem-solving (You need to bring one of your case studies), Marketing & promotion of your new business. Assessment of practical and on-line theory assessment.
Who is this course suitable for?
To take this course, you need to have completed the Level 2 eye treatment course.
Applying lash extensions requires a steady hand, good hand-eye coordination and good vision. Before applying eyelash extensions to any clients, you should have your eyesight checked. In addition to this, you may wish to purchase a magnification lamp or reading glasses.
Focusing on tiny eyelashes for more than an hour at a time can be very tiring. As your eyes get tired, your vision may become blurred and you may have difficulty with focusing. It is important that you remain keenly aware of this, to avoid unnecessary eye strain. If you sense your eyes are tired and losing focus, take a break and do some quick eye exercises (refocus your eyes to various directions and distances across the room). If you sense your eyes are dry, use an appropriate eye drop to freshen your eyes as necessary. Do not proceed with applying eyelash extensions if you are unable to focus clearly.
