Why upgrade your training to achieve a nationally recognised City & Guilds qualification?
There are many fabulous holistic, beauty & nail training centres offering dedicated thorough training, insurance and recognition through the beauty associations, however they are not regulated qualifications. One of the problems therapists can encounter further down their career is that they are trapped with this association for insurance as others may not recognise the training; sometimes employers or local authorities will not recognise non accredited qualifications either.
Using a process, to recognise prior learning and experience, we can help you gain a regulated City & Guilds qualification without having to complete a full training course again.
How does it work?
Step1: A professional discussion to assess prior learning and experience against national occupational standards starts the process which done through a telephone call. There is no charge for this process. If additional skills or refresher training is necessary, this can be arranged on a one to one basis costing £25 per hour. You will purchase an assessment pack containing everything you need to work towards the qualification. This is through the online portal and you can watch, listen and download what you need, including treatment plans, practical assessment criteria and knowledge requirements. This pack costs £60.
You will then be able to register as a City & Guilds learner at an assessment centre near you. This will cost £23.70 which gives you access to all the online exams at the level registered for 3 years.
Step2: Attend a skills assessment at the cemntre to complete one of the assessment treatments and receive feedback to help develop your skills in-line with the occupational standards.
Step 3: Once the required evidence has been generated and the knowledge requirements covered, you will return to the assessment centre to complete the practical assessment and on-line multiple choice assessment which tests knowledge.
