I believe that training and development should be around the learners needs and not be squeezed in to a funding framework.  I also understand that learners shouldn’t be forced in to set learning time frames to suit the educational establishment.

I have created a successful training academy offering City & Guilds qualification and advanced day programs along with on-line support resources, to provide flexible and quality learning.  I now wish to extend an opportunity to other educators who feel that one day accredited programs are just not enough to support the rapidly changing industry.

Let us together support and  progress the dedicated professionals that what to build and develop a life-long learning career by achieving regulated City & Guilds qualifications.

Accreditation for Awarding Bodies is a costly process.  There is an initial accreditation cost to gain approval and an annual minimum spend.  This can often prevent very capable Educators from being able to offer regulated qualifications. Becoming a sub-centre offers the opportunity for you to provide individual or group classroom based courses through the structure of courses of Phoenix Holistic Beauty & Nail Training.

The centre will need to provide its own IQA, however will have access to all the systems & procedures and a network of support.  A satellite centre will be able to register their own learners and claim their own certificates.  In addition, they will have their own centre name on the candidates certificates.

The main criterion to become a Satellite centre is that you are passionate about imparting your skills and knowledge to the next generation of therapists; however the following may also required.

  • Experience delivering & assessing regulated qualifications.
  • A regulated qualification (such as an NVQ or VRQ) in the skill which you are training and assessing in.
  • A professional treatment room
  • Professional, teaching  and public liability insurance
  • A teaching qualification either PTLLS or the Level 3 Award in Education (If you don’t have this then you can gain it easily through an online provider)
  • Hold or be working towards an assessors qualification
  • Provide a windows laptop to host the City & Guilds ‘secure assess’ online assessment program
  • Technical capabilities, enough to be able to use Skype in order to record assessments if required as part of the quality assurance process.

As a satellite centre, you will have access to all of the delivery materials, templates and systems.  You will be an editor on the Phoenixhbnt Facebook page and be able to use the C & G accredited logo.
